As we embark on a historic new chapter—coinciding with the commencement of the Nation's 15th Five-Year Plan and Macao's 3rd Five-Year Plan—Global Insurance Broker Company Limited is proud to announce its grand opening. On behalf of all our colleagues, I would like to extend our highest respect and heartfelt gratitude to partners and distinguished leaders from all walks of life who have long cared for and supported the development of Macao's financial sector.
At present, the global industrial landscape is undergoing profound evolution, while the integration of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) is accelerating. Under the leadership of the Macao SAR Government headed by Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai, the proportion of the four key industries—including modern finance—continues to rise, marking solid strides toward appropriate economic diversification.Macao is uniquely positioned to leverage its institutional strengths under the 'One Country, Two Systems' framework. The city boasts pivotal geographical advantages as a strategic hub, connected to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge to the east, the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin to the west, the mainland hinterland to the north, and the 'Belt and Road' nations to the south. Furthermore, it benefits from the synergistic dynamics of emerging industries within the GBA, as well as its role as a China-PSCs platform serving Portuguese-speaking markets. Consequently, Macao is well-positioned to pool premium global financial resources and insurance capacity, thereby integrating into and serving the overall national development strategy at a higher level.
Positioned to fill the strategic void within Macao's reinsurance market, Global Insurance Broker Company Limited leverages the capital resources and technical expertise of top-tier international reinsurance groups, including IPH, an authorized coverholder at Lloyd's. By introducing globally leading risk management frameworks and innovative financial service models, we are dedicated to building a professional, compliant, and open local reinsurance ecosystem. We will fully propel Macao to become a vital hub for reinsurance services, bridging the supply chain gaps and optimizing the overall financial industry layout. Looking ahead, the Company will anchor its growth on four strategic priorities: first, actively servicing Macao's major infrastructure projects; second, constructing an end-to-end insurance service framework for new energy vehicles (NEVs) going global; third, optimizing and innovating cultural tourism and healthcare insurance products; and fourth, precisely empowering local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) toward robust development. Through pragmatic initiatives and deep market cultivation, we aim to drive the quality enhancement and upgrading of the real economy.
